NAGOYA — Ichiro Hirosawa, 61, mayor of Nagoya City, collapsed during a press conference at the city hall at around 11:30 a.m. on Monday. He was rushed to a local hospital and admitted. He is said to be in stable condition.

Nagoya City Mayor Ichiro Hirosawa (61) collapsed during a press conference on the 30th after complaining of feeling unwell and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He was conscious at the time of the transport. He was explaining how the city responded to a case in which a teacher at a municipal elementary school had taken pictures of female students and shared the images on a social networking site.
