The Novi Sad City Assembly elected a new mayor to become Žarko Mićin of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), while citizens' protests took place outside the assembly building.
Tomorrow's session of the Assembly of the City of Novi Sad will be held without the employees of the City Administration, because they have been informed that they will not come to work on Monday, so only the police and councilors will be in the building, Razglas news has learned.
The session was held amid heavy police presence and jostling. The opposition claims it was not allowed to enter the building, but the police deny this.
