Mysterious vomit-like smell blankets Sittard and Geleen

Residents in parts of Geleen and Sittard have been dealing with a strong, vomit-like stench for several days and nights, while its origins remain unknown, L1 reports. Social media has reportedly been flooded with complaints about the residents not being able to keep their windows and doors open because of the smell. One of the residents described to L1 that the smell is like “as if you were hanging over a green waste bin.”
