Arrests for Smuggled Cigarettes in Mykonos and Piraeus, 72,000 Pieces Seized

A 60-year-old Egyptian national was arrested for carrying a total of 147 cartons of cigarettes - containing 10 packs of 20 pieces and 130 individual packs - in two pieces of his luggage without the required excise tax band.

The evaded duties and taxes from smuggling are estimated at 21,499.37 euros.
