Following the partly heavy rainfall and mudslides in Tyrol on Wednesday afternoon, which also affected the Brenner railway line, all local, regional, and long-distance traffic between Innsbruck Central Station and Brenner will resume unrestricted service starting next Tuesday at 5:00 a.m. ÖBB announced this on Friday. Some of the damage was repaired faster than expected, it said.
After the severe storms and several Muren exits on Wednesday, the north-south axis was completely closed for train traffic. Since Thursday evening, a track has been released again.
