HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) - Hattiesburg police said a welfare check led to the discovery of deceased individuals. Police said they responded to a home in the 500 block of 7th Avenue at 2:45 p.m. on January 27, 2026. When officers arrived, they discovered the deceased individuals inside the residence. The incident remains under investigation.
