On July 14, Rankin County deputies, Madison police and agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN) seized more than 122 dosage units of fentanyl pills from William Daniel Rogers during a traffic stop.

St. Patrick's Day · MississippiJACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) - Capitol police announced an 18-year-old has been arrested in connection to the mass shooting in downtown Jackson that occurred hours after the 2025 Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade. Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said Kayne Davis, 18, was arrested on July 10. She said Davis fled the state after the shooting on March 22. The U.S. Marshal's Service assisted with the arrest.
