Four people died late on Aug. 21, 2026 when their vehicle left the roadway on Interstate 77 near the Interstate 64 split in Charleston, West Virginia, falling to the ground below the interstate. The call came in to Metro 911 around 10:30 p.m. There is no word on the identities of the people yet, according to the Charleston Police Department.
