Syrian researcher Dr. Muhammad An'ad Sulayman asserted that Islam is innocent of all forms of "racism"—religious, sectarian, and denominational—and that it would not exist were it not for the "ignorance" of those who claim to be scholars, who rely on the findings established by their predecessors without reconsidering the underlying principles upon which they based their conclusions.
