MPs could face crack down on paid media appearances under new rules
MPs may face new rules limiting paid media appearances to restore trust in Parliament, as suggested by the modernisation committee's memorandum.
The committee will evaluate if paid engagements, like media jobs and speeches, serve the public or create conflicts of interest.
The committee is also looking at rules regarding bullying and harassment, along with MPs' media roles, following concerns over contracts worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
