Members of the Tascher family of Pagerie have obtained in court that the MP RN Emmanuel Taché abandons the name "of the Pagerie" which he joined to his surname to "distinguish himself".
The deputy of the National Rally Emmanuel Taché has for years added the name "of the Pagerie" to his surname. Three descendants of the true Tascher lineage of the Pagerie have seized justice in 2022, regretting a use for political purposes. She gave them a reason Friday: the elected one must withdraw this name and pay damages. - A member of the National Assembly acclaims "of the Pagerie" to his last name, justice orders its abolition (Policy).
Justice has given reason to several Tascher de La Pagerie, who came from the nobility of the Old Regime, believing that the elected extreme right was detrimental to them by borrowing their surname for several decades.
Born under the name of Emmanuel Taché, the deputy had adopted the surname "de Taché de la Pagerie", which resembles that of a noble family descendant of Josephine de Beauharnais, first wife of Napoleon I.
The court ordered the elected party to stop using this name under a penalty of 200 euros per found offence, after a complaint from the true Tascher lineage of Pagerie.
