A climber from Austria died on Saturday morning at the Heiligkreuzkofel in the Gadertal valley. The man was on the descent from the 2,900-meter-high mountain peak, when he slipped and plunged about 200 meters into the depth, South Tyrolean media reported. The climber remained stuck in the wall. For him every help came too late. A witness had dropped an emergency call. According to first information, the accident was on his own.
