Global Potash Market Shrugs Off US Move to End Belarus Sanctions
(Bloomberg) — The global potash market — and key producers of the fertilizer — largely shrugged off a US decision to lift sanctions on one of the world’s major suppliers, showing obstacles to flows are likely to persist.

EU has no plans to lift sanctions on Belarus after US - Kaia KallasThe European Union has no plans to lift sanctions on Belarus, said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaia Kallas. This decision was made despite the fact that the US announced on December 13 the lifting of sanctions on Belarusian potash, which had been in effect since 2021.
As the US intends to lift sanctions on Belarusian potash fertilizers, the European Union and Lithuania will also have to discuss this in the future, says Presidential Advisor Deividas Matulionis.
