Motorcycle bomb at police station kills at least 2 and wounds several in northwestern Pakistan

On Monday, explosives rigged to a motorcycle detonated near Miryan Police Station in Bannu district, killing at least two civilians including a child and injuring 17 others.
Bannu district has experienced repeated attacks in recent months, including January incidents in Domel, amid a national surge in violence the government blames on the outlawed TTP.
Authorities began evidence collection and an investigation while hospitals treated the injured, as Bannu police, Bomb Disposal Squad , and Quick Response Force secured and cleared the site.
Nearby shops in front of the station were damaged, civilians suffered casualties, and Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan visited the hospital to check on the injured.
No group has claimed responsibility, though suspicion centers on the Pakistani Taliban , whose attacks strain Islamabad and Kabul relations; the TTP is separate from but allied with Afghanistan's Taliban.
