A mother and her son were rescued by firemen from the Danube on Tuesday evening in the municipality of Rossatz-Arnsdorf (Bezirk Krems). The duo was capsized and aborted with a kayak. Helpers brought the injured to the shore, reported the ORF Lower Austria. The incident therefore happened in a side arm of the Danube, for which a flood warning was available. The two people were taken to the hospital.
