Most say ICE officer should face charges in fatal Minneapolis shooting: Poll

- After federal officials defended the shooting, President Donald Trump and Kristi Noem, Department of Homeland Security Secretary, rushed to label Good a 'domestic terrorist,' but Jacob Frey, Minneapolis Mayor, and Tim Walz, Minnesota Governor, rejected that narrative.
- Poll respondents said 53% said Ross was not justified in force used, 61% said ICE often arrests authorized immigrants, and 60% said agents use unnecessary physical force.
- The survey showed ICE's net favorability is now minus-12 compared with plus-16 in February, indicating a sharp 28-point decline in less than a year.
- Days after the shooting, Americans disagreed with Trump and Noem by almost two-to-one, and 53% answered yes versus 30% no on charges, including 54% to 23% among independents.
