Tambora, the second novel of the Messina Hélène Laurain, is on the main list of Goncourt 2025, alongside notably Emmanuel Carrère. A "surprise" for 37-year-old author who in this second novel delivers an autofiction on the intimacy of pregnancy and maternity. A personal work, crude and rare, which should nevertheless speak to many readers.
