Morrisons Confirms Major Roll Out of New Feature Across 500 Supermarkets
The rollout follows a pilot that found 60% of shoppers prefer supermarket lockers, Quadient said.
Morrisons is expanding its partnership with Quadient to install parcel lockers across 500 supermarkets nationwide, providing shoppers with secure, self-service collection and return points for multiple carriers.
The collaboration with Quadient subsidiary Parcel Pending began in Spring 2025, deploying lockers at 230 Morrisons Daily Stores. Initial success prompted the retailer to extend the service nationwide.
Installation of the lockers began last month across 125 locations. Quadient research indicates 60 per cent of shoppers prefer supermarket-based lockers, while 59 per cent value managing deliveries from multiple carriers at a single point.
John Parry, Head of Popular and Useful Services at Morrisons, said the change aims to "make life easier" for customers. Lockers support click-and-collect, prescription collection, key exchange, and spare parts retrieval.
Over the coming months, the rollout will reach 500 stores, enhancing convenience for shoppers. Katia Bourgeais-, EVP Parcel Locker Solutions Europe at Quadient, said "Together, we are making out-of-home delivery more convenient and accessible across communities.
