Morrisey Declares State of Emergency for Boone, Lincoln Counties Due to Flooding

State agencies and rescue teams are responding as hours of intense rainfall forced streams and creeks to rise and cut off roads and bridges.

CHARLESTON -- Gov. Patrick Morrisey declared a State of Emergency Wednesday evening for Boone and Lincoln counties following significant flash flooding caused by intense rainfall and slow-moving thunderstorms across portions of southern West Virginia.
