- Nearly 700 people have been killed, and aid organisations say funding constraints have forced them to ration supplies, warning fresh contributions are essential within roughly a couple of weeks.
- Humanitarian leaders warned the current spike in hostilities worsens an already tight funding landscape, limiting response capacity, with Carl Skau stating 'There isn't any more margin, so with needs going up, resources will have to come up- and they can certainly not drop', Skau told Reuters.
- Humanitarian organisations note global crises and Lebanon's 2019 economic collapse, 2020 Beirut port explosion, and 2024 war between Hezbollah and Israel have restricted their response, while UNHCR received only 25% of required 2025 funding.
