Plans announced for more than 400 new homes to be built in Hurricane

The Putnam County Development Authority (PCDA) announced a commitment from Maryland-based company Stonewall Capital LLC to construct 600 homes in Putnam County. On Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, Stonewall Capital and PCDA announced that a home builder has been selected for the first development located in Hurricane: Ward Communities.
