Almost 360 kilograms of fireworks handed in ahead of New Year's Eve ban
The amount of fireworks handed in to special collection areas has risen to almost 360 kilograms. Residents of Lochem, Gelderland, were able to hand in their fireworks on Friday, and this led to a total of 218.5 kilos coming in, the municipality has said.In Lochem, 206 kilos were consumer fireworks; they also received 8.5 kilograms of fireworks containing flash powder, including bangers, as well as 4 kilograms of emergency signaling fireworks.
