TEXAS, JUL 15 – Teams from Arkansas and Wisconsin assist Texas with search-and-rescue and operational support after floods left more than 170 people missing, officials said.
- Last Friday, the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management deployed a specialized two-person team in Austin, Texas, responding to a request from the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
- Following deadly floods in Texas, more than 170 individuals remain missing, prompting urgent relief efforts for those affected.
- Resource tracking and documentation are being handled by the team, and they will serve as a liaison while embedded with Arkansas National Guard members.
- Offering perspective, AJ Gary remarked, `Emergency response knows no borders, and we are dedicated to working alongside Texas to provide the necessary assistance and resources,` adding that the initial deployment spans eight days with possible extension as needed.
- Pending evolving needs on the ground, Task Force 1 is expected to remain in Texas for two weeks, marking its first collaboration with the Sheboygan Fire Department.
