There’s nothing like a few days of record breaking heat to have people thinking about winter. This has been a dismally dry summer.  A pretty normal snowpack melted off a month early, so the water I count on for irrigating the farm flowed down the river in May before it was warm enough for anything to grow. By mid-June it was done.  We have a little bit of storage water in the Uinta lakes, but not enough to make a full summer’s irrigation.
