A monument to the communist resistance during the Second World War was unveiled in The Hague on Friday morning. "Many communists warned of advancing fascism as early as the 1930s and were often dismissed as troublemakers who were exaggerating," said Nikki Sterkenburg, vice-chair of the National Committee 4 and 5 May, in her speech at the opening of the monument.
