The state of emergency declared by Governor Ivey Thursday is being expanded Monday to include three more counties, according to the office of the governor.

Three counties in the southern half of Alabama have been added to the state of emergency issued last week for north Alabama because of the winter storm.The counties are Geneva, Houston, and Montgomery, Gov. Kay Ivey’s office said.
