Møns Klint has been awarded world heritage site status
Møns Klint has been inscribed on UNESCO´s list of World Heritage Sites. It is the eight World Heritage Site in Denmark. In addition, there are three World Heritage Sites in Greenland. Furthermore, the natural site Wadden Sea is shared with Germany and the Netherlands. Møns Klint has today been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
After a half-hour debate on Sunday at a meeting at the UN organization UNESCO, it was decided that Møns Klint will be included on the organization's World Heritage List.
