Missy Key announced as next President and CEO of America First Credit Union
Key, a 38-year America First veteran and current chief financial officer, will succeed Thayne Shaffer as the sixth president and CEO.
The America First Credit Union Board of Directors announced Wednesday that Missy Key will become the credit union's next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2027.
Key will succeed current CEO Thayne Shaffer, who plans to retire on March 1, 2027, after 38 years of dedicated service to America First's members and employees.
"Missy is a strong, insightful and decisive executive who leads with vision and compassion," said Linda Carver, Chair of America First's Board of Directors, citing Key's 38 years of preparation.
Following a milestone year that included mergers with Meadows Bank and Greater Nevada Credit Union, America First has grown to nearly 1.7 million members with more than $27 billion in assets.
"I am honored and excited by this opportunity," Key said, as Shaffer added that Key will "carry forward that legacy of service and success" to continue the credit union's momentum.
