Mississippi invests $100 million for statewide development projects
Mississippi allocates over $100 million for statewide infrastructure and workforce projects to boost economic growth and create shovel-ready industrial sites, the Mississippi Development Authority said.
- On December 11, 2025, Governor Tate Reeves announced Mississippi will invest over $100 million from multiple agencies to expand infrastructure statewide.
- The Site Development Grant Program uses three tiers—premier, ready and select—and the Ready Sites initiative targets developable properties with at least 20 acres, aiming for work-ready status within six months or utility access within 12 months.
- Allocations include $28,635,216 t from the Mississippi Development Authority, with $4.8 million for West Rankin Industrial Park and $1.8 million for Mississippi River Energy Complex, Adams County, plus $110,000 and $50,000 for Pearl River County site work.
- Reeves said the package will help Mississippi continue record-shattering development, attract billions in future capital, directly benefit Tippah County, and deliver opportunities to over 3 million Mississippians.
- Marshall County's mega-site reflects a 1200-acre area attracting multi-billion dollar private investments, the Holly Springs site shows billions in private demand, and over 3000 megawatts of power generation support energy-heavy projects.
