- On Saturday, Nov. 1, Ron Dailey, a Selma hunter, was found alive near Swamp Lake Trail and is recovering at Clovis Community Medical Center; Dailey's family says he will be released on Monday.
- After taking a wrong turn on Swamp Lake Trail during an Oct. 13 hunting trip, Ron Dailey's truck was damaged on rocky terrain, so he used it as shelter at about 10,000 feet with food for two weeks.
- During his trek, Dailey fell multiple times, lost his cellphone, and said hunters gave him food and water after six days without eating; he told ABC 7, `I don't know why, but I did.`
- Rescuers scoured tough terrain and the Fresno County Search and Rescue Mounted Sheriff's Posse said `And then, the incredible news: he was found alive`; Dailey was taken to Clovis Community Medical Center where doctors are monitoring him.
- Dailey's family and officials called the return a community miracle, with Glenda Dailey thanking supporters, while Dailey accepted responsibility and called the descent from over 10,000 feet the "toughest walk" he'd done.
