Minister of Energy Bogdan Ivan says that currently a single nuclear reactor from Cernavoda covers 10% of Romania's electricity consumption. "The two new nuclear reactors – on CANDU 6 technologies – will double the production capacity of nuclear energy in Romania and will consolidate the country's energy security," he adds.
The government of Petteri Orpo (Confederation) aims to multiply Finland's electricity and energy production in the future. More electricity and energy production is needed, as electricity consumption is expected to double in Finland in the future due to industrial investments.
Currently, a single nuclear reactor from Cernavoda covers 10% of Romania's electricity consumption, according to Minister of Energy Bogdan Ivan.
