The quota for the number of foreigners allowed to be employed in Lithuania for this year was exhausted in July. Business representatives say that the current system does not meet real needs and are calling for the quota to be reviewed. However, the Minister of Social Security and Labour says that there is no reason to increase the quota for next year, and does not rule out that further reductions may be considered.
