President Javier Milei canceled his planned trip to Tucumán due to adverse weather conditions disrupting flights nationwide. This decision also came amidst reports of low confirmed attendance from provincial governors, with only a handful planning to join the Argentine Independence Day ceremony where the declaration was signed on July 9, 1816.

(By Rubén Lasagno) – Blaming the fog that prevented a normal flight of President Javier Milei to Tucuman, the government communicated through the Presidential Spokesman, who suspended the trip of the president and his entourage to that province, where today (in theory) a political act was planned, an opportunity in which the patriotic reminder was only an excuse to make a demonstration of unity and support that failed.
Argentinians are used to meet in the independent holiday season on 9 July to eat locro (not usually with meat, honey and bor), pasta and pasta with chocolate, but since last year, President Javier Milei has been trying to create a new tradition for the date. Read more (07/09/2025
