- The English Football League said it "continues to plan on the basis that the Championship play-off final will take place as scheduled" at Wembley Stadium between Southampton and Hull.
- Supporters were warned that "the outcome of the disciplinary proceedings may yet result in changes to the fixture," as the League acknowledged "concern and disruption" for those making travel arrangements.
- Ahead of the May 23 match, the English Football League confirmed it has "a number of contingency plans" should they be required, while the commission aims to issue a decision "as soon as possible.
