In Mexico City, the 2026 World Cup has officially started. The host will set a first sporting signal in the Aztec Stadium – and will be celebrating throughout the country.
A thunder rang in the Estadio Ciudad de México (which we call Azteca when we do not see FIFA and Banorte): 88,824 people shouted the two goals of the victory of the Mexican National Team against South Africa, one by Julián Quiñones and another by Raúl Jiménez, dedicated to his father to heaven. The Mexican selection successfully started its course at the FIFA World Cup, which began in front of its audience at the Azteca Stadium.
At the Aztec stadium in Mexico City on 11 June, the World Cup was launched. Prior to the first match, an opening ceremony was held. During the event, the singer, Shakira, performed the official HM anthem, the song "Dai Dai". The ceremony ended with the flags of all 48 participating countries.
