- Investigators recovered two bodies along a highway on Nov. 10, and their cellphones were recovered the next day; phone analysis revealed messages about the planning of the attack.
- Officials rolled out Plan Michoacan, which includes deploying 1,000 troops in Michoacan, amid renewed security pressure following the mayor's killing.
