US EditionMeta launches Urdu version of Meta AI in Pakistan
Meta AI is now accessible in Urdu with programs training 350 university teachers and supporting public sector digital transformation in Pakistan, officials said.
- At the Islamabad event, Meta introduced Meta AI in Urdu for Pakistani users during the Future in Focus: AI and Innovation event hosted by MoITT on October 27, 2025.
- MoITT and Meta said the initiatives aim to accelerate digital transformation and let Pakistani users interact with Meta AI in Urdu and English, promoting AI education within government and educational institutions.
- An AI Literacy Program will train 350 non-computer science university teachers across Pakistan in basic AI skills, launched with the Higher Education Commission, NCEAC, MoITT, and atomcamp.
- Meta unveiled the Government Digital Transformation Xperience 2025 program, which seeks to unite public and private sector experts to exchange strategies for Pakistan’s public institutions.
- The guide on using Llama for government operations highlights best practices and Asia-Pacific case studies, including Pakistan, developed with Deloitte and supported by MoITT.
