Before a vote in the Senate this Wednesday, the National Assembly passed the "simplification" law and the removal of "low-emission zones".
Two years after it was introduced, the bill to simplify economic life, which became gargantuesque, was passed by the National Assembly. The RN, opposed to the low-emission zones (ZFE), claimed victory.
Despite a vain government attempt to amend the text, the law on the simplification of economic life, a measure of which concerns the abolition of low-emission zones (ZFEs), was approved this Tuesday by the National Assembly. The upper chamber will have the last word this Wednesday.
On Tuesday, MPs adopted the draft law on "simplification of economic life" in a version providing for the abolition of the EFAs. The government had put to the vote an amendment proposing to maintain the legal basis of the EFAs, while giving the communities the flexibility to apply them or not. It was rejected, notably through the vote against MPs LR and RN. - MPs vote the abolition of the Low Emissions Zones (Policy).
With 275 votes in favour and 225 against, MEPs adopted on Tuesday the abolition of low-emission zones (LFEs).
The simplification bill is the subject of a final vote at the Palais-Bourbon on Tuesday 14 April. Behind its ambitions for administrative relief for businesses, the bill contains measures that are harmful to the environment.
