PC Sharon Beshenivsky killer jailed over underworld guns operation
Police said the network supplied 10 revolvers in one month and helped drive a sharp rise in converted handguns on London streets.
On Thursday, Faisal Razzaq, a former getaway driver for the gang that murdered PC Sharon Beshenivsky, was sentenced to life with a minimum of eight years for supplying converted firearms to London criminals.
Following his 2017 release from prison, Razzaq began supplying converted blank-firing handguns to criminals in May 2024, collaborating with brothers Robert Dorey and Ricky Dorey to distribute weapons across London.
Far-Right extremist Thomas McKenna manufactured the weapons in an Essex caravan workshop, and police recovered 14 converted firearms through Operation Eatchief, dismantling the entire network.
Harrow Crown Court sentenced five network members on Thursday, including Ricky Dorey to 10 years and Abdul Saleh to seven years and six months. Judge Hannah Kinch said gun crime 'could not be overstated.'
Detective Inspector Andy Durham of the Met's Specialist Crime Command said the investigation prevented 'a significant number' of illegal firearms from reaching the public, noting it is 'extremely rare' to dismantle an entire criminal network.
