Medical Deserts: The Senate in turn takes over a bill on the installation of doctors

In considering a second bill on access to care, the Senate Right and the government agreed on Tuesday to adopt two "complementary" amendments to govern the installation of doctors.

This bill was put forward by Senator Philippe Mouler, the Republicans, in an effort to "improve access to care in the territories."

The text that will be discussed in the Senate proposes that the installation of general practitioners in the areas best equipped with practitioners be conditioned on their practice in parallel part-time in an area where there is a shortage of caregivers.

The text, carried by the chairman LR of the Social Affairs Committee of the Senate, intends to respond to the increase in medical deserts in rural areas by regulating the installation of doctors.

Eric Martineau, Member of Parliament for the third district of Sarthe, supports the regulation of the installation of doctors. A meeting is organised to discuss this with the population.
