Highly Contagious Disease Found in Major Texas City's Water

TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS, JUL 23 – Austin Public Health detected measles virus in wastewater as an early warning despite zero new confirmed cases this week, amid Texas' larger outbreak with 762 linked infections.

Austin Public Health (APH) said traces of the measles virus were found through wastewater surveillance in Travis County during the first week of July.
