MDOT announces M-53 closure starting July 13 for culvert work

The Michigan Department of Transportation is announcing next week’s closure of the M-53 bridge over Greenman Creek near Cass City for culvert work. The $2.5 million project also includes asphalt reconstruction and guardrail work. The project will begin Monday, July 13, 2026, and is estimated to end mid-October of 2026.
