McDonald’s to offer 50-cent double cheeseburgers
McDonald’s marks National Cheeseburger Day by offering a double cheeseburger for 50 cents via its app, highlighting a return to value pricing with a one-per-customer limit.
On Thursday, September 18, National Cheeseburger Day, McDonald's will sell double cheeseburgers for just 50 cents exclusively through its app.
This promotion comes as part of McDonald's effort to return to value pricing, following recent menu expansions and the reintroduction of Extra Value Meals.
The double cheeseburger includes two 100% pure beef patties, American cheese, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard, and customers are limited to one per person.
Other restaurants also offer deals for National Cheeseburger Day, including Dairy Queen's free Double Original Cheeseburger Stackburger with a minimum $1 purchase until September 19.
McDonald's deal and similar promotions suggest a wider trend of fast-food chains providing discounted cheeseburgers to attract customers on this annual observance.
