In Maassluis, Mayor Jack de Vries is already at odds with the new coalition of Leefbaar Maessluys and the VVD. That coalition wants to stop housing asylum seekers in the city. De Vries is opposed to this and does not want to go along with that course. According to him, Maassluis must continue to cooperate with the reception as long as the central government requests it, Rijnmond reports.
