Marvel Rivals Devs Confirm Nintendo Switch 2 Version Is in the Works
Developers confirmed active development of Marvel Rivals for Nintendo Switch 2 to expand platform reach, following recent updates and ongoing plans since mid-2025.
- At the Game Developers Conference, Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo confirmed that Marvel Rivals is officially in development for the Nintendo Switch 2.
- Last year, producer Weicong said the studio was "in contact with Nintendo and working on some development kits," though by summer, Guangyun Chen noted the team still lacked hardware.
- Regarding potential mobile versions, Koo explained a mobile iteration would be "a whole different game" because "the controls are just so different" compared to console gameplay.
- Marvel Rivals continues expanding with Season 7, which recently added White Fox to the roster, after earning an 8/10 at launch for being "approachable, yet with a high skill ceiling."
- Although no release window has been announced, the Switch 2 confirmation provides welcome news for Nintendo fans who have waited over a year to play the game on the platform.
