Martha's Village drops plan for temporary Palm Springs homeless shelter
Summary by Ground News
In April, Martha's Village and Kitchen President Sam Hollenbeck told the city council that the organization was looking into building a 95-bed shelter somewhere in Palm Springs. The facility would've provided a homeless shelter option while a more expansive homeless navigation center facility is constructed. A larger navigation center will combine shelter beds, temporary housing units and services aimed at helping people transition out of homelessness entirely.
