Apple TV Renews 'Margo's Got Money Troubles' for Season 2
The renewal extends a series based on Rufi Thorpe’s novel, following a young mother who turns to OnlyFans and TikTok to support her baby.
On Wednesday, Apple TV announced that the comedy series 'Margo's Got Money Troubles,' based on the 2024 novel by Rufi Thorpe, has been renewed for a second season ahead of its May 20 finale.
Starring Elle Fanning as a college dropout who turns to OnlyFans to support her baby, the series was adapted by David E. Kelley and is 'quickly achieving a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes,' as Apple noted.
Produced by A24, the show features an ensemble cast including Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, and Thaddea Graham, who help Margo navigate her complicated life alongside her roommate and family members.
Alongside the renewal, executive producer Eva Anderson has been promoted to co-showrunner, joining creator Kelley to lead the series as it continues into its upcoming second season.
Audiences have 'wanted to spend more time with these riveting characters,' according to Apple TV head of programming Matt Cherniss, who expressed excitement to watch the family continue to defy the odds in Season 2.
