Since the signing of the first Trade Agreement with the United States and Canada, which entered into force in 1994, (the NAFTA), the text had not been revised, until President Donald Trump demanded it at the beginning of his first term, a renegotiation that took Mexico by surprise, since no revision was contemplated, forcing our country to participate in the negotiating table, without even having a Plan “A”, much less a Plan “B”, to renegotiate.
