MAO has been making thoughtful use of sustainable exhibition structures in recent times, but since the 1990s, a huge amount of materials have accumulated and been stored. The idea was born to establish a library where this material could be borrowed.

The Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO) has presented the Platform for Used Materials, which aims to become a model for a circular economy in culture as a pilot project. The plan is to set up a library that would allow institutions and creators to exchange or borrow used materials and elements. The project was funded through a call for proposals.
