Manhunt after prisoner convicted of attacking women escapes during Manchester hospital visit
Police say the 20-year-old is a danger to women and the public after convictions for robberies and assaults on emergency workers.
- On Tuesday evening, Marwan Jumaa, 20, absconded while being transferred from a secure hospital facility to North Manchester Hospital for medical treatment, deemed a risk to himself and others.

- Described as a black male of skinny build with short dark hair, Jumaa stands about 5ft 10ins tall and has known links to Bury, Prestwich, Crumpsall, Leeds, and London.
- Jumaa is currently serving a custodial sentence for assault and pleaded guilty in January at Woolwich Crown Court to three offenses including assaulting an emergency worker and robbing a woman.
- Detective Chief Inspector Abigail Cronin stated officers are working around the clock to find Jumaa, urging anyone with information to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
